Nationals Wreck Giants; Drop Two to Mets; Soto Injured; EPL Season Begins

Get your popcorn and settle in as Stevie and Joe breakdown a tough series loss to the Mets for a Nationals team that needed at least two of three to feel better before coming home and ending their nine-game road trip. All three games followed a similar script: Nats take early lead, Nats give up late runs, and in the first two games, Nats blow the save... and boy was it ugly. Stevie is still optimistic as the Nationals played well against their division rival missing several key players but the talk of the town is Juan Soto and his potentially serious injury. If Soto misses considerable time, the season may hang in the balance. Joe forces Stevie to play some EPL trivia while discussing the DC United mess featuring Wayne Rooney and the boys end the show discussing two Netflix Documentaries that premiered recently... Cambridge Analytica anyone? 

Nats Lose 3 Straight Series; Trade Deadline Recap; Gun Violence in America

The #Nationals made some trades, brought in some new faces, but have dropped three straight series over the past two weeks that have Stevie and Joe asking questions. Most notably the Nationals are off to a rough start dropping two in the dessert one of which saw Strasburg get hit over and over and over again. The Nationals are now in a virtual tie with the #Phillies for the final wildcard spot with #Arizona and NY #Mets not far behind. With 50 games to go the postseason is getting closer and closer and the #Nats have to find a way to win without one of their Aces for at least another week. Stevie and Joe share their thoughts after another mass shooting and ask everyone listening to pray for the communities impacted but also for the politicians and law makers who have to tackle this difficult task of "change"... God Bless America.

Nats Chop Braves; 37 Goes Yard; Wild Card Views

Stevie and Joe discuss all things #Nationals as the curly "W" goes in the books! Strasburg goes for 3 hits, 5 RBIs, and one big homer but that is just the proverbial tip with this team and its recent surging in the standings! The #Nats have found the bats, they have found some pitching, and they have found themselves. All they did was get healthy and the rest is history... we hope! Stevie and Joe are discussing the Bryce Harper saga and the continued rumors and speculation *probably* started by Big Daddy Boris linking Bryce with Phila, San Deigo, Arizona, and maybe just maybe Chicago... one team of note not listed, our Washington Nationals. Rob Ryan was hired by the #FireBruceAllen's probably to make the team more appealing for Hard Knocks and HBO as right now there isn't a lot of personalities that would make a summer of filming at Redskins park very interesting, and the duo end with a discussion about the genius of Fyre Festival and the ever-annoying Ja Rule. Goodbye 2018; Hello 2019

Goodbye 2018 and Hello 2019. #FireBruceAllen should continue to trend on twitter as the #Redskins face their fans and the offseason with lots of questions (seemingly without answers) while #FireErnie should begin trending as the Wizards are likely to finish no better than 7th in the East. Even with all the negative headlines in DC Sports the one headline that matters is that the Capitals are champions and thus, we are all champions! Olympics + WorldCup always make things awesome.... but 2019 will be great as well! Congrats Stevie, Almost Congrats LP! Happy New Year to all! 

NFL Free Agency; Redskins Improve Defense; DC United Playoff Push; World Series Recap

Stevie and Joe are ready to break down NFL free agency and the moves the Redskins did and did NOT make at the trade deadline! Stevie wanted offensive help, Joe didn't, but both were surprised to hear the Redskins acquired a defensive back improving a unit that needed depth and strengthening a strength which may propel the defensive from 4th overall to best in the league! Nationals Are Done; Nike Features Kaep; NFL Season Begins

Joe and Stevie are live and ready to go talking about the end of the Gio era with the Nationals, the reasons why the season went so poorly, and what to expect in the coming months as Rizzo prepares for 2019. The duo also discuss Nike and the 20th anniversary of the "Just Do It" campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick and his afro, before shifting gears to discuss the NFL season at-large as it begins anew with a terrible Ealges Falcons game and a bunch of duds on the schedule for Sunday as well. Stevie and Joe talk about the Nationals big win off the big bat of recently called up Andrew Stevenson, if the season is actually over, and if the manager is safe while looking forward to next season... although Steve is in denial and still believes the Nats have something left. The boys also discuss if Mad Max can maintain his form for one or two more seasons, what may happen with Harper, and expectations for Strassie as he takes the mound again tonight. LP, FP, Stevie, Joe, and special guest Razzle talk about all things Redskins from AP to WR's to season expectations. The boys discuss the pending trades the Nationals have out for Murph and Harp and if manager Davie Martinez will return next season. LP and Joe discuss the sreaking DC United powered by Hamid and Rooney, and FP has some thoughts about millenials and pet-ernity he has to share! All in this is one fun extended episode! Welcome to the DTC week in review. Mat, Stevie, and Joe discuss Juan Soto and his debut with the Nationals as a lone brightspot for the team this week with a "must-have" weekend series against the Marlins coming up. At the 12 minute mark the #Nationals talk shifts to #Capitals talk with a recap of the viewing party at Cap1Arena for game 7, and a discussion of why this IS the team that can bring home a title. Tom Wilson, Great8, Holtby discussed in detail, plus, has any one GM ever been responsible for two teams facing each other in the championship round of any sport? George McPhee built both the Capitals and #Vegas #GoldenKnights and deserves credit. Off the bat of Mark Reynolds... the Nationals win all four in Arizona, improve to 13 wins in their last 15 games, and are outscoring opponents nearly two to one (69-35). The Nationals are rising, the pitching is outstanding, and the panic that was has no subsided to a gentle "May-Calmness" that everyone DC can appreciate! The Capitals seem to be on a heater of their own but what the Nationals are doing day in and day out is excellent and most on the panel today agree they could go 8-2 or 9-1 over their next ten to further pad their stats! Nationals Make a Change; #BeatPittsburgh; Panic or No-Panic?

The Nationals have made a change and the DTC Nats Crew... all of us... are discussing it prior to first pitch! Big Z has landed in LA and the MLS will never be the same. (Who doesn't love some soccer talk?!) Locally however the Wizards look horrible dropping games to the Bulls and Rockets, while the Nationals give up seven with Max on the mound, and the Redskins have more rumors to to deal with about problems between Bruce and Dan... oh yea, and RG3 was just signed by the Ravens... for unknown reasons.
