Summer Stinks; DC Sports Recap; OMC Revisits the Fast & Furious

FP and Joe miss each other and thus, the mics are turned on for this mid-summer jam session. The boys lament the heat and take some time to get caught up on life happenings and the DC sports scene. Most notably the Commanders are getting their colors back, the Wiz are poised for a postseason push, and the Nationals... ooooof!  The offline chat became the Offseason Movie Club with the boys having a spirited debate about the first half of the Fast & Furious series.

RFK Deal; #Commanders Draft Recap; NBA/NHL Playoffs; OMC: The Accountant

Oh many what a week in DC! The Commanders got a deal done with DC to redevelop RFK and the renders look amazing! The NFL draft came and went with so many compelling storylines and "villain" arcs being created, and locally the team did a mediocre/great job... depending on whom you ask! The NBA Draft lottery is a week away, the Nationals don't stink, and the CAPS are trying their best to not-screw-things-up! Plus the boys watched the Accountant for OMC! What a week, what a show! 

DC 3 in Action; Ovi Needs 3; March Sadness; Wizards Looking Spicy; OMC True Lies

Bit of a strange one this week with injuries and illness wrecking the cast and crew of DTC. May not be our best show ever, but the streak lives on! It doesn't happen often but all three DC pro teams might lose as of the taping, Ovi stuck on 892 but really coulda/shoula been 893 as the Caps fall flat over last few games, plus, March Mad/Sadness is almost over... can Cooper Flagg + AJ Johnson catapult the Wiz forward? Read that again... yup! They are THAT interesting and the Wiz front office KNOW what they are doing! For the weekly installment of the OMC the boys review 1994's True Lies and pay their respects to the great "Iceman" Val Kilmer... this is a 90min fatty! Enjoy! 

Deebo to DC; AP Not Done; Caps Drop 3 Straight; +Offseason Movie Club Debut

FP, Andy, Stevie, and Joe are in the studio recapping the week that was in and around DC. Fireworks in real life and in local sports. Ovi is within 10 of the record even though the Caps dropped 3-straight, the Lakers are surging... the Nationals finally have room to negotiate their own media deal and the Offseason Movie Club (OMC) debuts with a review of 2008's Forgetting Sarah Marshall!

It's a holiday week but that doesn't mean we skip a show! The #Commanders pulled off a stunning victory on Sunday over the #Eagles and got flexed into Sunday Night Football vs the #Falcons. The Christmas Day sports rotation was out of control between the NFL and NBA and while the NFL games were largely boring the NBA had an awesome day with an average margin of just 5 pts between winners and losers... but nobody watched! Pete from Philly chimes in from overseas and Stevie shares a largely redacted story... oops. + EPL Boxing Day GoalRush in 4k is awesome! Merry Christmas!

#Capitals Cruisin'; #Commanders vs #Saints Preview; #Nationals Secure Top MLB Pick; #Chiefs Get Lucky (Again!)

Coming off the bye week for the Commanders the boys are in studio discussing the week that was in the NFL and the week ahead. Lots of MLB and Caps talk to start the show but the pivot to the NFL is quick.... The Eagles barely beat the Panthers but stay alive in the chase for the Lions and the top NFC seed, the Rams pulled a big upset, and the Chiefs... the Chiefs keep luck-winning. Seems like fans want to see Lions vs Bills but we are going to get stuck with Eagles vs Chiefs in the Super Bowl? Maybe? Commanders need a win against the Saints to stay alive in the NFC and what was the NFL thinking with several huge games in the 4pm window on Sunday?

Oh boy, the local football team is on a heater! The #Commanders win their 3rd in a row in convincing fashion and even the most stubborn must admit #JD5 is impressive. The Eagles lost to the Bucs, the Vikings keep rolling, the Bengals finally get a win. Plus, the MLB playoffs are here... it's officially the start of the BEST time of the sports year!

The boys are thankful the season is almost over... Commanders are regressing although there were signs of life from individual offensive contributors. Plus, who is having the better offseason, the Yankees or the Dodgers and what does a Wiz/Caps move to Virginia mean to downtown DC!

How do you handle Halloween as an adult? Death on the ice in England (super sad situation), the UFC/Boxing obsession grows for one show cast-member + Commanders jump out to a lead but fail to beat the Eagles... again! The NFL top 5 and low 5 are here to close out week seven and Stevie helps us get ready for game three of the world series which has been shockingly eventful even though nobody is watching!

FP and Joe are in studio discussing the fiery furnace that is currently Coach Ron's seat and what can be done to turn it down a tad. They took around the league on a week full of upset wins and while the NHL and NBA seasons are getting rolling the baseball season is almost at its final matchup with one matchup NOBODY wants to see looming large.

The boys are hot. The Commanders, Football Team, Redskins... doesn't matter... when they should win the regularly lose! Offense was flat, defense was leaky, special teams failed (less a crucial recovery)... but why can't this team find it's groove early on. The longest seven minutes... 

Falcons Beat Falcons; Top 5 Low 5; NHL Returns; MLB Playoffs Continue

The boys recap the full slate of NFL games including the Commanders win in ATL to improve to 3-3... reminder, they beat nobody as FP says. The NFL is basically a bunch of .500 teams, the CAPS are back on the ice, and Bryce homers on his birthday... do we cheer or never/ever cheer?

Commanders slip in the power rankings but given cooler heads have come forth since the Bears loss the boys are enthralled with playoff baseball. Bryce did Bryce things in ATL while the Diamondbacks may be demonstrating why the new playoff model is flawed with favorite teams losing! +ESPN will roll out "FROZEN FRENZY" on opening night as we see the Red-Zone-ification of sports continue from NFL to GoalRush and now Frozen Frenzy can the NBA do something similar and would anyone care? Stevie, Mat, and Joe are getting set for the World Series and doing their best to ignore the Football Team and their continued regression. The boys discuss the H-town v ATL match-up plus some prop bets of note including overall home runs for the series set at 18.5... that could be juicy!

WFT Heading to Green Bay; NFL Top 5 / Low 5; Hopkins Out; MLB Playoffs Continue

The WFT is heading to Green Bay to face Aaron Rodgers and the streaking Packers that may win by 35+ if the DC defense cant figure things out quickly. Stevie and Joe take a look around the NFL to identify their top 5 and low 5 + Ron surprises everyone by letting go of Hopkins and his 85% made FG rate... why now Ron? Why? The Dodgers are in trouble but are still alive and the Red Sox might go streaking soon. Does anything compare to playoff baseball!? 

Third & Less; KC Scores 21 to Win; #21 Retired; Capitals Look Good; MLB Playoffs

The DTC mics are on and the boys are hot about another terrible showing for the Football Team as the defense continues to struggle, allowing 21 points and scoring ZERO in the second half against KC. The retirement ceremony for Sean Taylor was a disgrace and Joe has thoughts about what could have been done differently. Absolute embarrassment. Why does WFT run 5 yard slants on 3rd and 8? Anyone know? Meanwhile the Cowboys are running away with the NFC East. + the Capitals are looking good and the MLB playoffs are amazing!
