Defeating the Curse (DTC)

The Nationals have dropped a few games but Mad Max is hitting homers now and several guys are getting very very close to returning to the active roster and daily lineup. FP, Stevie, and Joe talk Nationals bullpen, trades, hitting, NL East lead, and Dodgers and Cubs too in an all-Nationals 12min blitz of content (1-12m) before they pivot to the Redskins (13-21m) and end with a discussion about the Verizon Center's potential new name and Joe shares his thoughts on Neymar moving from Barca to PSG (31-35m). While the Mother of Dragons and Tyrion believe they have have authored the perfect battle plan to rebound from Yara Greyjoy's defeat last week the tables turn yet again as Jamie and Cersei prove yet again they are capable of outsmarting their brother. This episode had a little bit of everything and a lot of interesting twists and tidbits to dive deeper into. Casterly Rock may have fallen to Grey Worm but Yuron has the last laugh yet again while we say goodbye to another beloved character in Olenna Tyrell who met her doom but not without some final parting shots! We also had a Stark sibling reunion, and parade of shame, and several unanswered questions including the whereabouts of Arya? Listen to this episode to get Steve, John, Peter, and Joe's take on all the action and twists! (Photo Credit: HBO)

In part one of Training Camp preview LP and FP share a fans perspective on the team including expectations and concerns, however in the second part the guys are joined by Manny Benton of Breaking Burgundy and Scout to give an insiders perspective on the team. Benton shares thoughts on Jordan Reed's tow injury, the upside potential of Maurice Harris, and discusses the revamped defensive line now under the direction of Jim Tomsula! If you love the Redskins, you need to listen to this! A little cross-talk between DTC and Breaking Burgundy is just what you need to get ready for all things Redskins Training Camp! #HTTR (Photo Credit: Redskins.com)

On the eve of training camp 2017 LP and FP are live discussing the late breaking news about Jordan Reed going on the PUP list and jump into expectations for all three units of the team with a focus on the offense. The running backs will have more on their plates if Reed is to miss any extended amount of time but there may be enough fire-power on the team that all will be well down the stretch towards the playoff push. Part one is all us but stay tuned for part two with Redskins insider Manny Benton of Breaking Burgundy and Scout.com. (Photo Credit: Redskins.com)

We were all doing our own thing on a quiet summer Friday night when the news broke that John Wall had signed his contract extension with the Washington Wizards and we knew we had to jump on and record a reaction podcast! Joe, Stevie, LP, and FP, all chime in on what the John Wall extension means for the Wizards and for the city of DC (2:15-12:00) and look forward to the crumbling state of the Cavaliers with Kyrie demanding a trade and wonder... is this the season for the Wizards to make a serious push to challenge to win the East! With Wall, Beal, Porter, and Coach Brooks under contract until at least 2021 the time is now for the Wizards! The foursome also recap the Nationals post All-Star Break resurgence (14:30-28:15) and the teams recent trades! The show wraps with the popular "Point After" segment which highlights things that have nothing to do with sports going on in the guys personal lives! Have a listen and share!

With news of Kirk not getting his extension this episode focuses on the men charged with protecting him along with the men in the trenches on defense. LP and FP are bullish on both units but especially the rookies. Is the OL one of the best in the league? Is the DL improved even with noticeable losses during free agency? How much does scheme factor into unit success? Tune in and find out and Hail to the Redskins! (photo credit: Redskins.com)

The 2017 season may be the last one for Kirk Cousins under center for the Washington Redskins. The team failed to reach an agreement with their rising star Quarterback and everything is now in place for him to leave next off-season, should he choose to. Joe and Stevie discuss all the happenings of the past few days, from Bruce Allen's press conference (2:00 - 12:30), to Kirk Cousins joining 106.7 to share his side of the story (13:45 - 20:30), and then offer the fans perspective on what will come next including best case and worst case scenarios for both Kirk and the team. Joe believes that this is the Redskins best shot to win the Superbowl since his youth and if Kirk walks next off season a lot of Redskins free agents will be doing the same effectively closing this championship window! Winter has come. Season 7 has arrived. Joe, Steve, Beef, and special guest John discuss the premiere and their rapid-reaction to an episode that underwhelmed a bit but delivered a lot of information. The foursome agreed that the opening may have been one of the best scenes in the entire show and that there is a lot going on at the Citadel that hadn't been discussed previously but this episode was ultimately about two women, one standing on a map, the other taking her first look at one that are on a collision course. The boys also discuss the odds of who will be the next character to be "retired" and odds of who ultimately ends up on the throne at the end of the season! If you love the G.O.T. then tune in and share! (photo credit: Time Magazine)

Well, the fight that nobody expected to actual take place is on the books and just about one month away. LP, FP, and Stevie have the night off so Joe invited Boxing and MMA super-fan "20" on the show to discuss the fight, the hype surrounding it, and to talk tactics and predictions as well. If you love combat sports or just want to get caught up on all things Mayweather vs. McGregor this is the podcast you need to listen to. Don't miss Joe's hot take (@26min) regarding a few changes that could be made to this fight that would command an increase of the PayPerView buy from $100 to $250... could the two sports be combined into a super-combat-sport? Tune in and listen to the guys discuss! This fight is going to happen... who you got!? (photo credit: SkySports)

The Redskins are engaged in a game of high-stakes chicken with their franchise QB Kirk Cousins and LP and Joe are terrified to ask what the future holds for the franchise. The show was supposed to be about the OL/DL but quickly got sideways and into the Cousins contract status, why management is unlikely to get a deal done, and a discussion of the backup options Bruce Allen may be preparing to explore. Once upon a time LP was 99% sure the Skins would get a long term deal done with Kirk... he has updated his opinion while Joe has double-down on his. What is the magic number to get this deal done? What happens if it doesn't get done? Do Redskins fans support the team or the quarterback? ... is it really long term deal or bust?!

This show is all basketball... lots and lots of basketball! The NBA offseason is complete insanity. How can average players be paid so much guaranteed money on these short and long term deals? Hint: The ESPN TV contract has everything to do with it. These bloated salaries are happening because ESPN overpaid for the rights to broadcast the NBA and this postseason didn't help! But teams have big decisions to make too... What will the Wizards do about RFA Otto Porter? Does Gordon Hayward nudge the Celtics past the Cavaliers in the East? LP gets down into the math of several free agent moves and Joe gives everyone two teams to watch in each conference this upcoming season that are completely off most fan radars! The Nationals travel to St. Louis and drop two of three games but find their groove before returning home. Stevie and Joe breakdown the series and focus in on Bryce Harper's new-found swing while looking ahead to a nice home stretch for the Nats that bring the Mets and Braves to DC. The duo also briefly touch on NBA free agency, although a dedicated show with LP is coming soon, and finally they spar over the latest POTUS tweet involving a wrestling move, a CNN logo, and a whole bunch of "triggered" reporters!

Trea Turner will miss time... that we know. The full DTC cast is live and talking sport tonight on the heels of the Nationals splitting their series against the Cubs (2:54) in DC and losing Turner for at least a month. Stevie gives every Nats fan several reasons to believe things will be ok while FP discusses what moves management must make right away. The boys also discuss the NBA at length (16:20) with Joe and LP trying to figure out what the heck is happening in the NBA with CP3 moving to Houston and Paul George linked to a dozen teams with free agency just hours away. Could Phil Jackson (28:30) coach in the Big3 league? Who does Lonzo Ball (31:45) remind you of? Plus Trump (39:30) keeps tweeting and the biggest news of the week... DTC has joined the HMG family (intro)! Tune in, listen, share, repeat! Happy 4th of July to everyone! (photo credit: Katherine Frey/The Washington Post)

This episode of the D.T.C. Redskins Roster Report (Triple R) is focused on two positions that didn't change much this offseason... at least as far as the starters go. The TE position continues to be anchored by Jordan Reed but can he survive an entire season? Will the next injury he sustains push him towards retirement? Can Vernon Davis be trusted as a pass catcher? The Redskins did add some depth at the position but carrying four TE's is risky. The corner back position is a different story as they were largerly not impacted by injury last season. Adding two BIG rookies at over six feet tall and 200+ lbs gives the Skins some much needed size and hopefully will ease the pressure off second year "stud in the making" Kendall Fuller. Josh Norman will be allowed to shadow his WR target all game long, so say the coaches, how will that impact Breeland and the rest of the secondary? Tune in and find out why this group of fans is a little down on the TE's but encouraged by the new CB's! (photo credit: USA Today / Redskins Wire)

Derek Carr just signed a 5 year $125m deal with the Raiders with only $40m guaranteed and in an instant every Redskins fan asked themselves the same exact question... "Isn't Kirk worth at LEAST the same?!" Steve and Joe debate what Kirk is worth on the open market verses what he is worth to this Redskins team with this staff and this roster in the historical context of Washington DC sports plus the duo offer a few thoughts on the 1991 Redskins team (30m) which was recently hailed as the best in the NFL over the last 30 years and recap the Nationals (40m) weekend series against the Reds too!

Lonzo Ball is a Laker! Magic is doing big things in LaLaLand... and with that the 2017 NBA Draft is underway with no shortage of storylines! Steve, LP, and Joe are watching and chatting in real-time about the draft picks as they are confirmed and breaking down the plethora of trade rumors too! Be warned, Steve gets heated when his fan-hood is challenged and LP attempts to force the trio into discussing the Wizards (a team with no picks AGAIN this year) while Joe opens the show with a conspiracy theory he believes to be true.. which it might be.. why have the last 48 hours been more interesting in the NBA as opposed to the last 48 days? Tune in and find out! (photo credit: Mike Stobe/Getty Images)

On this edition of Redskins Roster Report, (TripleR) LP, FP, and Joe are locked-on wide receivers and outside linebackers! The trio debate if the Redskins WRs can replicate the success of last years unit and if the full roster of linebackers are the best of any Redskins team in the past ten years! Other topics include if Eddie Royal or Vincent Jackson should be added to the roster and why PED use should be encouraged once a player is already suspended... it's bulking season boys! #HTTR (photo credit: David Richard/AP Photo)

The Nationals traveled to New York to face the Mets in a four game series and left with three BIG wins! Steve and Joe are joined by Mat (da Met) to discuss the weekend series including the Nationals continued pitching woes, the strength of their bats, and talk about the historical significance of Trea Turner stealing a team-record FOUR bases in the final game of the series. Steve and Mat also share some insights on other teams they are watching and make a few bold predictions regarding how the Mets can become competitive again and could the Nationals still find a way to lose the division... plus a whole lot more! In this Special Edition DTC Podcast Joe and LP are joined by John (by way of Rucker Park) and Dan (by way of Long Beach State) to discuss the US Men's National Team [the Outlaws] performances against Trinidad and Tobago and against Mexico. The foursome breakdown Bruce Arena's never changing long-ball tacitcs, highlight studs and duds, and one bold voice claims that 2026 is the year the U-S-A bring home the World Cup! I... I Believe... I Believe That We... I Believe That We Will Win! I Believe That We Will Win!

This the Redskins Roster Report, also known as the "Triple R" or r3! On this edition of "Skins on Duty" LP and FP dive deep into the current talent on the Redskins roster at the RB and ILB positions. Will Matt Jones be on the roster come opening day? How much of an improvement is Z.Brown as the "Mike"? Expecations for an unproven ILB core given their previous body of work? Has the roster improved at either position between this time last year and now? These are just some of the questions the boys discuss plus Joe chimes in with some observations specific to fantasy football too!

In a recap of the week that was LP, Steve, and Joe dive into what went wrong causing the Nationals to drop three straight coming home and expectations for Dusty and the team moving forward. The guys also dive a mile-deep into how the Cavaliers made the NBA Finals interesting, even though nobody was watching live, and the historical significance of Lebron and Kyrie and this team IF they do the unthinkable and win 4 straight!

After a quick “state-of-the-team” the debate heats up discussing potential trade scenarios, the historical significance of the poor play in the NL East, and some interesting thoughts on the playoffs and beyond. Spoiler alert, only one panelist has the Nationals in the World Series, and it isn’t who you think!

LP and Joe discuss the horrible NBA finals, the dominance of the Warriors, how Lebron is to blame for the current state of the NBA and debate hypothetical matchups including the 98 Bulls, 01 Lakers, and 96 Rockets vs the current Warriors.
