JR Smith is an idiot that is too stupid to point-shave and we feel a little bad for #Lebron... #Capitals are bringing the noise to DC for Game3 on Saturday night and rumor has it 20 bald eagles will carry the flag to center ice before the puck drops... plus, #RumpMeetsTrump and the disaster that is Disney/ESPN and their hiring of Keith Olbermaan and firing of Roseanne Barr... plus a whole lot more.

Welcome to the DTC week in review. Mat, Stevie, and Joe discuss Juan Soto and his debut with the Nationals as a lone brightspot for the team this week with a "must-have" weekend series against the Marlins coming up. At the 12 minute mark the #Nationals talk shifts to #Capitals talk with a recap of the viewing party at Cap1Arena for game 7, and a discussion of why this IS the team that can bring home a title. Tom Wilson, Great8, Holtby discussed in detail, plus, has any one GM ever been responsible for two teams facing each other in the championship round of any sport? George McPhee built both the Capitals and #Vegas #GoldenKnights and deserves credit. The final topic starting at minute 29 (after a discussion of old guys and boobs) is about the #NFL and why their new national anthem policy will only make things worse for the business. Off the bat of Mark Reynolds... the Nationals win all four in Arizona, improve to 13 wins in their last 15 games, and are outscoring opponents nearly two to one (69-35). The Nationals are rising, the pitching is outstanding, and the panic that was has no subsided to a gentle "May-Calmness" that everyone DC can appreciate! The Capitals seem to be on a heater of their own but what the Nationals are doing day in and day out is excellent and most on the panel today agree they could go 8-2 or 9-1 over their next ten to further pad their stats! The pitching has been solid, the hitting not so much, injuries are a problem but not an excuse, and overall a city that is recovering from a Wizards loss needs a Caps win, and needs to see the Nationals play better overall to keep us all sane. Stevie and Joe recap the events of the week starting with a focus on the shooting in Florida. In this never-ending newscycle both hosts had a few things to share. The show then pivots to a discussion about Alex Smith and a revisit of his trade and extension with the Redskins which then leads the boys into a conversation about Amazon potentially moving to DC and leads into a preview of the Nationals spring training which is just weeks away. This type of show is quick-paced and shifts a lot as it follows the thoughts of Steve and Joe but it is their favorite type to record because it is unscripted and raw. By the way, did you notice the Wizards are streaking without John Wall too? Tune in and share!

The 2017 MLB Postseason has arrived and the Nationals are locked and loaded for a run towards the World Series! Mat, Anthony, Stevie, and Joe talk about expectations for the Nationals vs Cubs series to start on Friday in DC and get into detail about potential pitching rotations, batting order changes, and identify a few unlikely candidates for the title of hero should the Nationals pull off the series win! The DTC crew will be at every Nationals home game throughout the series and will provide analysis and thoughts after every game as well! The Nationals have work to do, and the entire city of DC is collectively, cautiously, awaiting the start to what should be a great series! Do that Nationals have what it take to beat the Cubs... the four of sure think so. Let's go N-A-T-S Nats, Nats, Nats!

A special Patriots Day episode of D.T.C. remembering all those impacted by 9/11 here in DC and beyond. The Nationals have won the NL East for the fourth time in six years and all eyes now turn to the postseason! The Nats didn’t just take care of business, they did in historical fashion locking up the NL East in record time (fastest in 15 years) and well, who cares that the NL East is historically bad, we are going to the playoffs! Stevie and Joe talk all things Nats including how amazing Trea Turner is playing (as if he hasn’t missed any time), when/if Bryce will return, and which opponent would you rather not see in the postseason; D’backs, Cubs, Brewers, Dodgers… Cardinals. The Nats aren’t streaking, they are just plain great, and the numbers don’t lie. The pitching rotation is tops in MLB and at any time the bats can explode too.
