DTC Returns; Full Recap of February 2019; Bye Bye Bryce

The wait is over, the DTC podcast is back! Joe is riding solo today re-visiting the biggest sports topics of the past month from the Super Bowl to LeBron James, Jason Witten to Bryce Harper, and from Gov Ralph Northam to POTUS to Kim Jung Un, and literally everything in between… there is something for everyone! Joe discusses Tom Brady and his ridiculous career and Russel Westbrook and his ridiculous stat lines going back several seasons. He also gets into Kaep and his settlement with the NFL followed by his ridiculous request for $20m to play in the AAF or XFL. Will Kyler Murray be a Redskins? Probably not but Joe is confident that Antonio Brown will land in Jacksonville with St Nick while Lamar Jackson will fail in Baltimore. ESPN prayers answered as Witten returns to Cowboys and Bryce Harper will make approx $4,000 per plate appearance for the next 13 seasons in Philadelphia. DTC is back! Wall Grounded; Caps Streaking; 2019 Resolutions

The Wizards are missing John Wall and struggling to string wins together while the Capitals are streaking and trying to cement their identity as they are set to make a second straight cup-run! What can the Wiz do with the contracts they have on-hand? Does anyone have any faith in #FireErnie? Don't the Wiz remind you of the Redskins? a little bit? yikes! The Capitals on the other hand are quietly repeating their success from last year, playing well against the better teams and beating the teams they should. As we start 2019 LP, FP, and Joe have thoughts about what both franchises can do to energize their current fan bases and try to expand them too!

Goodbye 2018; Hello 2019

Goodbye 2018 and Hello 2019. #FireBruceAllen should continue to trend on twitter as the #Redskins face their fans and the offseason with lots of questions (seemingly without answers) while #FireErnie should begin trending as the Wizards are likely to finish no better than 7th in the East. Even with all the negative headlines in DC Sports the one headline that matters is that the Capitals are champions and thus, we are all champions! Olympics + WorldCup always make things awesome.... but 2019 will be great as well! Congrats Stevie, Almost Congrats LP! Happy New Year to all! 

Nationals Losing Hope; Capitals Resign Key Player; Tiger Returns + more

FP, Stevie, and Joe jump into the struggles of the Nationals and debate if they can win 70% of their remaining games. Joe is convinced Harper will be traded while Stevie believes he will be back next year. FP talks about the Capitals bringing back a key piece and if they could realistically repeat next season, and the boys discuss Jimmy G dating an adult film star, the NFL mishandling punishment of players, POTUS tweets, and Tom Brady's fantastic dad-bod which should encourage us all! 

Caps Hangover; Wizards Draft; NBA Free Agency

LP, FP, and Joe are back talking sports as the #ALLCAPS hangover finally comes to an end... by the way the Caps bent the cup!? But a lot has happened in the past two weeks with Trotz leaving (5:30), Johnny C staying (10:45), and DSP getting a one year extension too (12:30). But there is more happening around the DC on the Wizards side with a strange draft ending (18:25), a trade bringing in Austin Rivers (24:30), and NBA free agency is just around the corner (31:00). The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions! We did it DC, the curse has been defeated! After 26 long years our city has a title to celebrate and what a celebration it is going to be! Capitals Win Game 4; Lead Series 3-1; Pressure Shifts to Vegas

The #Capitals are just one win away from history. #Vegas outplayed DC in the first frame but had nothing to show for it, in fact they were down 3-0 after 20 minutes with nothing breaking their way. LP, FP, Stevie, and Joe are on the pod to discuss the big win, heroes and zeros and talk specifics as to why Coach B deserves praise and Holtby should kiss the post and say thanks again! DSP scored again, Tommy scored, and the entire team played relaxed and did what few thought they would... winning two on home ice and shifting ALL the pressure to the #Knights with game 5 looming on Thursday night. This is it DC, we are one game away from a title! One game away from Defeating The Curse! 

Week In Review: Nationals; Capitals; NBA Finals; RumpMeetsTrump; Disney Hiring/Firing

Time for a little week in review... Stevie and Joe discuss the #Nationals and #MadMax surging and find themselves in first place in the NL East (or close to it)... JR Smith is an idiot that is too stupid to point-shave and we feel a little bad for #Lebron... #Capitals are bringing the noise to DC for Game3 on Saturday night and rumor has it 20 bald eagles will carry the flag to center ice before the puck drops... plus, #RumpMeetsTrump and the disaster that is Disney/ESPN and their hiring of Keith Olbermaan and firing of Roseanne Barr... plus a whole lot more.

Golden Knights Win; Capitals Score 4; Vegas Pregame; Warriors to NBA Finals

The #Capitals had two different chances to win game one by holding on to a one goal lead... twice... but couldn't do it and the #GoldenKnights took the win. The studs on both sides played "ok" but nobody expected a 10-goal shootout. #Vegas is fast but #DC may be more encouraged than discouraged in the end. Joe is joined by Ashley from @VGKladies to discuss game one in detail and share her perspective from inside of Tmobile Arena in downtown #LasVegas. Hockey fans everywhere should be excited about this Final... just as NBA fans should be disappointed that #Cavs vs #Warriors is our NBA Final for the fourth straight time.

Nationals Rising; A+ Pitching; Sports Betting Win

Off the bat of Mark Reynolds... the Nationals win all four in Arizona, improve to 13 wins in their last 15 games, and are outscoring opponents nearly two to one (69-35). The Nationals are rising, the pitching is outstanding, and the panic that was has no subsided to a gentle "May-Calmness" that everyone DC can appreciate! The Capitals seem to be on a heater of their own but what the Nationals are doing day in and day out is excellent and most on the panel today agree they could go 8-2 or 9-1 over their next ten to further pad their stats! The Nationals have made a change and the DTC Nats Crew... all of us... are discussing it prior to first pitch!
